Message from the President

The CDCP position from the OAO Executive still remains that of caution until further details are known. The CAO president will be in attendance at this meeting and we will see how Ontario can become part of national orthodontic collaboration in this matter.

Finally, the Expanded Duty Initiative with respect to level 2 assistants is now firmly in the hands of the RCDSO. We await for their decision so that we may plan for next steps as needed.

As summer approaches, I look forward to our get-together in Niagara-On-The Lake. It will be a great time!

	OAO 2024-2025 Board of Directors The proposed slate of nominees has received majority approval from our members. The new 2024-2025 board of directors will be announced at the OAO Annual General Meeting, scheduled for Saturday, June 1st, at 7:15 a.m. at the Queen's Landing Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake. An official Notice of Meeting will be forthcoming shortly.
	2024 Scientific Meeting The 5th Biennial Scientific Meeting will be held May 31-June 2 at Queen's Landing in Niagara-on-the Lake. Aside from the opportunity to qualify for 6 Core 1 and 6 Core 2 points, there will be great speakers and many opportunities for comradery. 	OAO Mentoring Program The OAO mentoring program was well received by members who participated as mentors/mentees. Pairings between mentors and mentees have been established, and individuals will be contacted shortly.
	OAO Fall Business Meeting - November 7, 2024 The OAO Fall Business Meeting and Presentations will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Attendance is complimentary for members. Registration will be available shortly!
